It’s that time of the year again when the sky blazes blue and the sun is a celebration of yellow, free, and bright. Winter is great and autumn is magnificent but everyone knows that summer is the best time of the year (it’s one of my favorites!).

Nothing beats the longer days, warmer weather, and seemingly fewer responsibilities which turns summer into a romantic season. With so many adventurous, romantic, and daring things to do, there shouldn’t be a shortage of summer date ideas. But if you’re all out of summer date ideas, I’ve got you covered with these 30 must-go summer date ideas 2024 you should try out!

 

Fun Date Ideas For Summer

These fun and romantic summer date ideas are sure to create lasting memories and make your summer unforgettable whether you’re just in the mood for adventure, relaxation or even trying something new; I’ve got you covered, ticking all the boxes!

1. Go To The Movies

There are numerous ways in which you can enjoy the movies. For a start, you can go to a matinee showing of a movie you’ve both been wanting to see; nothing beats those central air conditioning. Alternatively, you can page 1955 and go to a drive-in movie, or cozy up inside and watch a romantic movie. My favorite way of enjoying the movies during the summer is by going to the cinema, there’s just something different about going to the cinema in the warm summer evening. The warm breeze blowing my summer dress and balmingmy skin, the excited chatter ringing in the air as you leisurely take the sidewalk and not to forget the arrays of colours blessing your eyes. Holding your partner’s hands as you walk down the sidewalk just reinforces your love and devotion.

2. Beach Day

“Spend a day at the beach” should be on everyone’s summer bucket list of things to do at least. There is something extra relaxing about frolicking in and watching ocean waves not withstanding that’s it’s free. So, go ahead and fake a mini honeymoon; put on your swimsuit, take along your favorite snacks, beverages, and sunscreen, play with some cool sea wildlife and don’t forget to collect some seashells!

 

3. Cook Together

This is simple. Choose a cuisine you and your partner would like to make together; it can be Italian, French, Mexican, Asian, African etc (just choose!). Then pick out a challenging recipe or your favorite recipe from that cuisine and try making it together. You’ll get some laughs and hopefully some good food out of it as well. Don’t forget to set a fancy table, and remember, there’s no such thing as too much candles. Have fun and make it romantic!

 

4. Go Bowling

Do you enjoy sports? Does you and your partner crave a little friendly competition but doesn’t necessarily want to work up a sweat? Then bowling is your answer! Head down to your favorite or local bowling alley and engage in a lighthearted competition while trying to knock down those pins!

 

5. Spend A Day Poolside

Summer is hot but what will make it even better? Spending a day poolside! Cool down with your hot partner by spending a day by the pool, flirting with water fights, working on your tan by the patio and enjoying your favourite summer cocktail. Don’t have a pool? No problem, you can simply check out some hotels in your locality that will allow you rent time, or install an inflatable pool in your backyard, both will give you the same results. Just have some towels, drinks and tanning lotion nearby!

 

6. Go To A Concert

Summertime is the best time to enjoy musical shows and there’s always someone on tour so why don’t you make it a date with partner. Enjoy the long summer days and warm nights dancing to

For your night in, you could make it fun and have game nights, make it chill with Netflix and chill or even romantic with a candlelit dinner. Just have fun!
